How do I even begin to describe the power of Sekhmet, the Egyptian lioness goddess, and the profound role cats play in our lives?
My own journey with feline magic began in 2018 when I met my first and only cat, Venus. Then, in 2023, Sekhmet herself arrived, not just as a myth, but as a living force emanating through her statue, gifted by a friend, appearing on my doorstep and creating magic in ways I could never have anticipated.
Earlier this year, during the total lunar eclipse in Virgo, Sekhmet made her presence known astrologically in a profound consciousness shift which I touched upon in a previous blog: Sekhmet. Through the eyes of a priestess, she revealed herself to both Stephen and me, awakening a deeper understanding of feline divinity. It was through this portal that Leo came in. Not once, nor twice—but three times—we released him, and each time, he came back. Like a royal Egyptian feline, Leo is regal, proud, and wise. A purebred Russian Blue, he’s the most aware and commanding cat I’ve ever met.
From the moment he arrived, Leo was completely at home, confidently communicating his needs and even showing excitement about the two new kittens joining us at the end of June. Leo is here to stay. And now, we cannot imagine our lives without him. If you’ve ever felt a cat “choose” you, or experienced their mysterious synchronicities, you know exactly what I mean. This entire experience has been a profound reminder:
Cats are not just pets. These felines are divine guides, teachers, healers, and orchestrators of fate.
